Horizon Robotics-W (09660) rose nearly 5%, and as of the time of writing, the stock was up 3.89% to HK$7.76, with a turnover of HK$702 million. The catalyst for the move was the company's annual product and technology launch event held in Beijing on April 22, themed "Boundless Journey, Embracing the Stars." At the event, Horizon officially unveiled the Horizon Starry®, China's first cockpit-and-driving integrated vehicle intelligence chip, alongside the Horizon KaKaClaw™, the country's first vehicle intelligence operating system. The company also simultaneously launched the HSD V1.6, a full-scenario assisted driving system. This launch signifies that Horizon has taken a leading step in completing its strategic blueprint for vehicle computing, integrating components from chips to software and from intelligent driving to intelligent cockpit, positioning itself as one of the few industry players capable of mastering all four key domains. A report from CLSA noted that the company introduced the industry's first cockpit-drive integration chip, "Starry 6," at its annual product launch. The 6P version of the chip utilizes a 5-nanometer process and delivers a computing power of 650 TOPS. Against the backdrop of rising memory prices, the Starry 6 chip is expected to save automakers approximately RMB 1,500 to RMB 4,000 per vehicle. The chip has already secured cooperation intentions from over 10 original equipment manufacturers and Tier-1 suppliers and is scheduled to begin mass production in the third quarter of this year.
