ABB Partners with NVIDIA to Enhance Industrial Robot Training

Deep News03-09

ABB's robotics division has entered into a collaboration with NVIDIA to bridge the performance gap between industrial robots operating in virtual simulations and their real-world counterparts in factories, the companies announced on Monday.

The Switzerland-based ABB will leverage NVIDIA's Omniverse simulation platform to create more realistic training environments for robots by incorporating detailed elements such as lighting, shadows, and material textures.

Marc Segura, President of ABB's Robotics division, stated that this initiative is expected to help companies save significant amounts of time and financial resources.
