Stock News09:57

WOER (09981) rose more than 7% in Hong Kong trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 7.79% to HK$21.58, with a turnover of HK$209 million. The catalyst for the move was the opening of the Nvidia GTC 2026 conference on March 16, where founder and CEO Jensen Huang delivered a keynote address. Regarding optical interconnect technology, Huang showcased the world's first mass-produced co-packaged optics (CPO) switch, Spectrum X, and eased market concerns about the "copper versus optical" technology path. He stated that there is a need for more copper cable capacity, more optical chip capacity, and more CPO capacity. Huatai Securities previously noted in a research report that it is optimistic about WOER's high-speed communication cable business benefiting from growing demand for short-distance AI interconnect solutions both domestically and internationally.
