On September 17, the Financial and Economic Committee of the Yantai Municipal People's Congress and the Yantai Branch of China Unicom jointly organized a themed Party Day event centered on the "Three Linkages, Three Strengths" initiative—strengthening foundations through theoretical co-learning, enhancing efficiency through organizational co-building, and consolidating synergy through performance-linked collaboration. The event was designed to build a deeper communication bridge between the government and enterprises, fostering closer ties and mutual understanding.
Li Shenggang, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Yantai Municipal People's Congress, led a delegation to tour the Unicom digital exhibition hall. During the visit, they gained detailed insights into Yantai's century-long telecommunications development history, as well as the application of digital technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, and cloud computing across various industries, as demonstrated by CHINA UNICOM.
Song Yongbo, Party Secretary and General Manager of the Yantai Branch of China Unicom, presented an overview of the company's work in supporting Yantai's economic and social development. He noted that the branch is actively implementing the national "AI+" initiative, striving to build an integrated digital infrastructure based on "5G + optical networks + computing power." With the "Unicom Yuanjing" large model and the UniClaw enterprise-level AI agent platform at its core, the company is focusing on intelligent manufacturing, smart chemicals, smart oceans, and smart cities, contributing digital intelligence to Yantai's goal of becoming a green, low-carbon, high-quality development demonstration city.
Following the tour, participants engaged in a focused discussion session centered on two key themes: "Establishing and Practicing a Correct View of Performance" and "Leveraging Digital Intelligence to Drive Economic Development." During the exchange, all representatives expressed that the theoretical co-learning and performance-linked collaboration had strengthened their sense of responsibility and motivation. They committed to continuing the implementation of the "Three Linkages, Three Strengths" approach, firmly establishing and practicing a correct view of performance, and continuously improving their capabilities to open new prospects in their respective fields.
Li Shenggang emphasized the importance of establishing a long-term mechanism to integrate the requirements of a correct view of performance into the entire process of institutional design, implementation, and supervision, thereby transforming institutional advantages into effective governance outcomes. He highly praised the digital intelligence achievements of the Yantai Branch of China Unicom and expressed hope that the company would more deeply integrate into Yantai's "15th Five-Year Plan" development strategy, foster new quality productive forces through digital technologies, support the integrated growth of the real economy and the digital economy, and contribute more significantly to making Yantai a fully established green, low-carbon, high-quality development demonstration city.
In response, the Yantai Branch of China Unicom stated that it will use this themed Party Day event as an opportunity to uphold Party leadership, strengthen its sense of responsibility, and deepen its focus on the four core tracks of "connectivity," "computing power," "services," and "security." The company aims to write a new chapter in serving national and regional major strategies, contributing to the region's broader development goals.
