Scholar Edu acquires 314,000 shares at HK$1.65 average under award scheme; trustee stake rises to 1.47%

Scholar Education Group disclosed that the trustee of its share award scheme purchased 314,000 shares on 27 April 2026, representing approximately 0.047% of the company’s issued share capital. The shares were bought on-market at an average price of HK$1.65, for a total consideration of about HK$0.52 million, excluding transaction costs.

Following the purchase, the trustee’s holding increased to 9.92 million shares, equivalent to 1.47% of Scholar Edu’s outstanding shares.

The board stated that the current market price materially undervalues the company and views the transaction as an opportunity to accumulate shares for future awards to selected participants. Management will continue to track market conditions and may instruct additional purchases under the scheme at its discretion.

Scholar Edu’s board comprises Chairman and Executive Director Chen Qiyuan, Chief Executive Officer Qi Mingzhi, Executive Directors Li Ailing and Leng Xinlan, and Independent Non-executive Directors Yang Xuezhi, Yim Ka Man, and Prof. Zhang Wenjun.
