Pop Mart's Chairman and CEO Wang Ning recently stated in an interview that the company paused many of LABUBU's new product releases during its peak popularity, with numerous items originally scheduled for 2025 being postponed to 2026. All offline marketing activities and several external collaborations were also suspended.
"A good licensing partnership can enhance a product, but if handled poorly, it can instead deplete its value," Wang Ning commented.
