HKEX has announced the completion of its consultation on proposals to enhance the competitiveness of the listing market. The revised Listing Rules take effect immediately.
The exchange received 73 responses from market participants. All proposals initially outlined in the consultation paper received broad support, with many also gaining near-unanimous approval. HKEX will adopt all suggestions, with some modified slightly, as detailed in the consultation conclusions.

It ensures our framework remains modern and capable of meeting rising international competition. By broadening the avenues for companies to list, while maintaining high standards of governance and investor protection, we aim to attract a wider range of quality issuers to Hong Kong, creating more opportunities for investors, and solidifying our position as a premier global listing destination.
