On July 23rd, 2025, six students from Northeastern University were visiting and studying the flotation process at the concentrator of the Wunugetushan copper-molybdenum mine operated by China Gold Group Inner Mongolia Mining Co., Ltd., a controlling subsidiary of Zhongjin Gold Corp.,Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), when grid plates collapsed and they fell into flotation tanks. After full rescue efforts, six people were retrieved, but medical personnel confirmed they had drowned. Additionally, one teacher was injured.
After the incident occurred, company leadership attached great importance to it, immediately activated emergency response plans, went to the scene at the first opportunity to organize handling, and promptly reported to relevant local government departments according to relevant procedures.
