LAOPU GOLD has posted job openings for in-store customer service managers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou on a recruitment platform. The positions explicitly require candidates to have at least six years of experience working as flight attendants for an airline, including a minimum of three years as a chief flight attendant. According to the job listings, the in-store customer service manager roles at the Hangzhou Tower Shopping Center and Shanghai Xintiandi locations both mandate a flight attendant background, with monthly salaries ranging from 25,000 to 35,000 yuan. Based on this range, the estimated annual salary falls between 325,000 and 455,000 yuan.
This is not the first instance of LAOPU GOLD showing a preference for hiring former flight attendants. In July 2025, the company's recruitment process for store sales positions involved multiple rounds of interviews, emphasizing not only candidates' educational backgrounds and work experience but also their appearance and demeanor. Many of the applicants were former flight attendants. One interviewee noted that LAOPU GOLD does not apply a uniform standard for "beauty" but instead values a pleasant first impression, gentle elegance, and approachability.
