PSBC Successfully Issues 'Carbon Neutrality' Themed Green Financial Bonds

On July 17th, Postal Savings Bank Of China Co.,Ltd. successfully issued the first tranche of its 2026 green financial bonds in the national interbank bond market. The total issuance size for this tranche was 5 billion yuan. This comprised two varieties: Variety One was a 3-year fixed-rate bond with an issuance size of 2 billion yuan and a coupon rate of 1.46%; Variety Two was a 3-year floating-rate bond with an issuance size of 3 billion yuan and an initial coupon rate of 1.48%.

The funds raised from this bond issuance will be allocated entirely to green industry projects that deliver significant carbon reduction benefits. This issuance serves as a crucial instrument for implementing the national 'dual carbon' strategy and marks the first time PSBC has issued green financial bonds themed around carbon neutrality. The entire issuance process adhered to market-driven pricing principles, garnering widespread attention from the capital market and enthusiastic subscription from various investment institutions, resulting in a robust market response. The overall subscription multiple for this bond reached 3.99 times, with 71 institutions participating in the subscription. These participants covered a diverse range of mainstream investors including banks, funds, insurance companies, and securities firms, fully demonstrating the capital market's high recognition and strong confidence in PSBC's deep commitment to green finance and its role in empowering green development.

Postal Savings Bank Of China Co.,Ltd. actively positions itself as a pioneer in green finance, continuously enhancing its professional capabilities in this field. It has been consecutively awarded the title of 'Advanced Unit in Green Bank Evaluation' by the China Banking Association and has received honors such as the '2025 Best Practice Case for Sustainable Development of Listed Companies' from the China Association for Public Companies. In March 2026, MSCI released its ESG ratings, with PSBC's ESG rating being upgraded to AAA.
