Agricultural Bank of China Chairman Meets with Deutsche Bank's CEO to Strengthen Financial Ties

On June 29, Agricultural Bank of China Limited Chairman Gu Shu met with a delegation led by Deutsche Bank AG CEO Christian Sewing in Beijing.

Gu Shu stated that China's ongoing, steady efforts to expand institutional opening in the financial sector have laid a solid foundation for global financial institutions to deepen their presence in the Chinese market and share in its development opportunities. He noted that the Agricultural Bank of China and Deutsche Bank have been long-term, friendly partners and expressed hope that the two institutions would continue to strengthen cooperation across multiple business areas, driving greater development in Sino-German and Sino-European economic and trade collaboration.

Christian Sewing expressed Deutsche Bank's firm confidence in the long-term development of the Chinese economy, viewing China as a key market in the Asia-Pacific region. He stated that Deutsche Bank would continue to deepen its cooperation with the Agricultural Bank of China, working together to leverage their roles as financial bridges and actively support bilateral and multilateral economic and trade exchanges.

Heads of the International Finance Department, Financial Markets Department, and Investment Banking Department of the Agricultural Bank of China attended the meeting.
