Longyuan Power Reports 2.6 GW of Operational Offshore Wind Capacity

China Longyuan Power Group Corporation Limited has provided an update on its offshore wind power operations during a recent investor engagement session.

The company currently has 2.6 gigawatts of operational offshore wind capacity, located in Jiangsu and Fujian provinces.

Furthermore, the company has secured development rights for offshore projects exceeding 7 GW in capacity, primarily situated in regions including Jiangsu, Hainan, Fujian, and Guangdong.

Among these, the 500-megawatt Dongfang offshore wind project in Hainan commenced full-scale construction in October 2025. The first 50 MW of generating units have already been connected to the grid, with the entire project scheduled for full commercial operation within 2026.

The start of 2026 has seen significant breakthroughs for the company's offshore portfolio. It successfully obtained the development rights for the 2 GW Hainan CZ16 offshore wind project.

Additionally, the 400 MW Putian Meizhou Bay offshore wind project in Fujian has been included in the province's list of key projects.

In Jiangsu, the 400 MW Yancheng Dafeng offshore wind project has received official approval.

These tangible achievements mark a strong commencement for the company's initiatives in the current Five-Year Plan period.

The company stated it will advance the construction of its offshore projects with high standards, efficiency, and quality.

It will balance safety, quality, schedule, and economic benefits to ensure projects are commissioned on time and operate stably.

Longyuan Power will continue to actively participate in competitive allocation for offshore wind projects, striving to secure more high-quality maritime resources.

The company will also closely follow national planning for deep-sea offshore wind development, aiming to establish large-scale demonstration base projects.

It seeks to promote deeper integration between wind power and diverse industries, building a modern marine energy ecosystem characterized by multi-energy complementarity, industrial convergence, and diversified development to support the high-quality and sustainable growth of the ocean economy.
