Luo Yonghao Discloses ADHD Diagnosis: May Cease Large-Scale Events if Medication Change Fails or Physical Condition Issues Persist

Deep News2025-12-31

On December 31, Luo Yonghao revealed in a Weibo post that he has long been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Luo Yonghao stated that due to his ADHD, none of his product launch events were ever rehearsed; each one was delivered entirely impromptu. The presentation slides were never completed ahead of time, often requiring last-minute adjustments to about thirty percent of the content just before the event started. For several launches, he even had to split the entire slide deck into two halves, instructing his colleagues on how to handle the latter portion while anxiously taking the stage with only the first half prepared.

He explained that over the years, the seemingly smooth execution of these events relied entirely on his physical stamina, accumulated experience, and medication that worked inconsistently. His physical condition has now deteriorated significantly; for instance, staying awake for two or three consecutive days causes noticeable heart discomfort and mental fatigue. The medication he has taken for over a decade is no longer effective even at the maximum dosage. Luo emphasized that the backstage team supporting his events faced extreme challenges, often requiring recovery time after each ordeal. If switching ADHD medications proves unsuccessful or physical conditioning through exercise fails to resolve his stamina issues, he will cease organizing such large-scale activities to avoid detrimental consequences for both himself and others.

Luo Yonghao also mentioned, "Apart from feeling guilty, tonight is largely filled with happiness." On December 30, his annual technology innovation sharing conference, titled "Luo Yonghao’s Crossroads," took place. The event was scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM but did not commence until 7:48 PM when Luo finally appeared on stage, attributing the delay to monitor feedback issues.

Furthermore, the event encountered multiple unexpected incidents. For example, audio system failures abruptly cut off background music during a performance by guest band Wutiaoren, forcing the duo to improvise a "talk show" on stage to fill the time.
