VISEN PHARMA-B (02561) Surges Over 5% as Commercial Sales of Weizhengao Ramp Up, Marking a Shift to Product Monetization

Stock News07-27

VISEN PHARMA-B (02561) shares climbed more than 5% in the late trading session, reaching HK$20.08, with a turnover of approximately HK$701,400.

This comes after the company's core product, long-acting growth hormone Lonapegsomatropin (branded as Weizhengao), officially received market approval for treating growth hormone deficiency in children and adolescents aged 3 and above, signaling the start of a commercialization cycle for VISEN PHARMA-B.

According to Frost & Sullivan data, the Chinese growth hormone market is expected to reach 28.6 billion yuan by 2030, underpinned by strong long-term growth momentum. In this expanding market, Weizhengao, as the first domestic product combining both "long-acting" and "natural structure" advantages, is poised to carve out a differentiated niche in the high-end segment.

VISEN PHARMA-B is currently pursuing commercialization through an import model in 2026, with plans to achieve technology transfer and localized production by 2028. The company is collaborating with selected CDMO partner WuXi Biologics to advance local manufacturing, further strengthening its production capabilities and supply chain competitiveness.

As commercial sales of Weizhengao gradually increase and contribute to revenue, VISEN PHARMA-B will steadily transition toward a "product monetization" phase, with its valuation center expected to gain stronger fundamental support.
