On the afternoon of September 17, Tesla’s Cybercab kicked off its nationwide tour with a stop in Beijing, officially opening at the Tesla experience store in Hualong, a prime commercial hub. The display will run until September 27, marking the first time the vehicle has been shown to the public in a static format across the country, featuring both its exterior and interior design.
The Cybercab adopts a two-seat configuration, notably lacking a steering wheel and pedals, tailored for future autonomous driving scenarios and sharing a development lineage with existing models. It’s important to note that this event is purely a static exhibition, with no implications for the vehicle’s market launch in China or any commercial operation plans for driverless electric vehicles.
During the same period, visitors can also check out current production models like the Tesla Motors Model 3 and Model Y on site.
