Li Auto's L9 Livis Push-Up Demo Fails at Launch Event, Executive Apologizes

Deep News09:21

During the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, Li Auto unveiled its new embodied intelligent flagship SUV, the L9 Livis. At the product launch, Li Auto CEO Li Xiang attempted to demonstrate a voice-controlled "push-up competition" between the L9 Livis and the company's First Product Line President, Tang Jing. However, due to network issues, the demonstration failed, with the vehicle displaying a "function not supported" message.

Tang Jing later addressed the incident on social media, stating, "It's a pity we couldn't complete the push-up challenge with the L9 Livis at the event. This was not the vehicle's fault—it was ours. We let everyone down." He added that the push-up segment was intended to add a lighthearted touch to the launch, and although the live demonstration did not go as planned, it was successfully carried out later during a livestream.

Reports indicate that during the subsequent livestream, Tang Jing and the L9 Livis engaged in the push-up challenge once more, with the executive ultimately losing to the vehicle.
