JD.com Launches First AI Video Creation Contest: Top Prize of 100,000 Yuan

Deep News01-14

JD.com has initiated its inaugural AI Video Creation Contest, offering a maximum prize pool of 100,000 yuan.

The competition requires participants to submit original AI-generated short videos lasting over 15 seconds, which can be produced using any AI tools for image generation, digital human animation, audio synthesis, or special effects. Entries must creatively feature JD.com's Chinese New Year shopping festival mascot "Ma Honghong," its digital male idol group E'Core, or specific products from designated partner brands.

The total prize structure is divided into three components: a base award with 50,000 yuan for the champion, 30,000 yuan for the first runner-up, and 20,000 yuan for the second runner-up; a special "Year of the Horse" creativity award of 10,000 yuan; and brand-specific track awards sponsored by JD Worldwide, Jingxi, Midea, Dreame, and other brands, where a single entry can win up to 40,000 yuan or a New Year gift box valued at 3,000 yuan. Participants have the opportunity to combine prizes for a potential maximum cash reward of 100,000 yuan.

The evaluation mechanism combines data performance metrics, which account for 50% of the score, with professional jury reviews, which make up the remaining 50%. The list of winners is scheduled to be announced on February 6th, with cash prizes distributed within 30 business days following the announcement.

Interested participants can enter the contest by searching for "AI大赛" (AI Contest) within the JD.com app to register.
