Stock News10-25

The Shanghai Stock Exchange on September 24 published a notice regarding the revision of the compilation plans for the SSE Composite Index series, stating that after deliberation, the exchange and China Securities Index Co., Ltd. have decided to revise the compilation methodology for certain SSE series composite indices. The revision covers four indices: the SSE Composite Index, the SSE A-Share Index, the SSE Free Float Index, and the STAR Market Composite Index. The revised compilation plans for these indices and their derivative indices will take effect on October 26, 2026.

According to the notice, the revisions include: (1) introducing a weight cap rule that limits any single constituent's weight to no more than 15%; and (2) adjusting the removal timing for securities under risk warnings from "the trading day following the second Friday of the month after the risk warning implementation date" to "the trading day following the second Friday of the month after the risk warning announcement date." The remaining parts of the index compilation plans remain unchanged.
