Hebei Guantao County Enhances Food Safety with Transparent Kitchen Monitoring

Officials from the Guantao County Market Supervision Administration in Handan, Hebei Province, recently visited online food delivery merchants to verify business qualifications, inspect ingredient procurement records, and check the operation of kitchen surveillance equipment, reinforcing food safety responsibilities.

According to Wang Huan, a third-level official at the Guantao County Market Supervision Administration, the county has been vigorously promoting smart supervision through an "Internet plus transparent kitchen" initiative for online food delivery this year, advancing kitchen transparency and digital oversight to safeguard public food safety.

Currently, the county has 408 registered online food merchants, with a monitoring installation rate of 85 percent and a "three visible" coverage rate of 88.89 percent, ensuring that kitchen operations are fully visible and traceable throughout the entire process.
