At the 2026 Global and China Capital Market Outlook Forum held in Beijing on January 15th, Song Xinlei, Deputy General Manager of the Wealth Platform Department at Guotai Haitong Securities Co., Ltd., stated during a roundtable discussion that the traditional "massive manpower strategy" employed by securities firms is now outdated, and the future belongs to the widespread application of intelligent agents. He revealed that the company is actively experimenting with building intelligent agents to ensure stable service output capabilities, while significantly enhancing content production and service efficiency through technologies like digital human systems.
Song Xinlei pointed out that every securities firm should, based on its own capabilities, construct several intelligent agents to consolidate the company's relatively stable service output capacity at an above-average level. These agents can connect with wearable devices and intelligent agents on internet platforms through methods like MCP, thereby disseminating the relatively mature service capabilities of the securities firm to a broader range of investors. Internet platforms often lack long-term, accumulated financial service experience; therefore, securities firms with substantial capabilities should focus on digitizing and embodying this part of their expertise. He admitted that while the company will remain cautious with investments and avoid an "all-in" betting approach, it will "boldly experiment" and actively explore these avenues.
In terms of improving service efficiency, Song Xinlei used short video production as an example to illustrate the revolutionary changes brought by AI. Under the traditional model, producing a short video analyzing market hotspots required steps such as hot spot research, investment advisors appearing on camera, filming, and post-production, involving at least three people collaborating and taking one to three hours. Now, by building a digital human avatar system, digitizing employees and investment advisors, and using AI to automatically capture hot topics and generate live broadcast scripts, a shareable short video can be rapidly produced in a "host-guest" dialogue format within five minutes. Furthermore, AI supports parallel generation, allowing for the simultaneous production of multiple videos on different hot topics. This means the process is shortened from several hours to just minutes, and when multiplied by the number of parallel tasks, efficiency can be improved by tens or even hundreds of times, leading to a fundamental enhancement in the timeliness of client service and the breadth of coverage.
When discussing how to gain investor trust, Song Xinlei likened it to "making friends," emphasizing that the key lies in providing stable, continuous, and warm companion-style service. He stressed that service output must remain consistent, avoiding fluctuations in attention, and should offer timely assistance when investors need it, maintain an appropriate distance when they do not, and provide companionship and psychological support during times of confusion. He believes that treating clients as friends and establishing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships is crucial for winning hearts and minds. Although AI currently has shortcomings in emotional interaction and stability, these can be addressed through prompt engineering, model optimization, and continuous correction, gradually "training" and teaching AI, much like cultivating an employee, to learn how to interact with clients and grow together.
