Essex Bio-Tech Buys Back 23,000 Shares, Treasury Stock Rises to 2.07 Million

Essex Bio-Technology Limited reported a further share repurchase conducted on 15 September 2026. The company acquired 23,000 ordinary shares on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong at prices ranging from HKD 2.02 to HKD 2.045, representing a volume-weighted average cost of HKD 2.0352 per share. The transaction amounted to HKD 0.05 million in total consideration.

Following the buyback, Essex Bio-Tech’s outstanding share count (excluding treasury shares) decreased to 564.94 million, while the treasury-share balance increased to 2.07 million. The repurchased shares represent 0.0041 % of the company’s issued shares (excluding treasury shares) prior to the transaction. Total issued shares remain unchanged at 567.01 million as the repurchased shares are being held in treasury and have not been cancelled.

The purchase was made under the repurchase mandate approved by shareholders on 26 May 2026, which authorises the company to buy back up to 56.70 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now stand at 2.07 million shares, equivalent to 0.36 % of the issued share base at the mandate date. In accordance with Hong Kong listing rules, Essex Bio-Tech is restricted from issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 15 October 2026.
