South Korea's exports exceeded $80 billion for the first time in March, surging nearly 50% compared to the same period last year, with semiconductor exports reaching a record high of $32.8 billion, according to data released by the government on Wednesday.
Statistics from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy showed that the country's total exports reached $86.13 billion last month, a year-on-year increase of 48.3%.
Imports grew by 13.2% to $60.4 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $25.74 billion.
