Yesterday marked the official opening of the eastern section of Zhongguancun ART PARK Darongcheng, attracting crowds of eager shoppers. The new section focuses on creating an international, high-quality lifestyle space, introducing several premium brands making their debut in Beijing, western Beijing, and Haidian District.
Connected to the western section that opened six months ago, the three-level space—spanning underground, ground level, and rooftop—completes a comprehensive upgrade of Zhongguancun’s core commercial area.
Upon entering the eastern section, visitors are greeted by a massive sculpture of "Line Puppy." The design maintains the park-style commercial complex concept, integrating previously enclosed underground spaces with ground-level parks, allowing seamless movement between urban greenery and modern retail.
The western section, which opened in May, introduced over 100 brands, including more than 40 first-time entrants. The new eastern section emphasizes business dining, trendy casual eateries, and bakeries, featuring Chili’s first Beijing location, The Boots, GAGA (western Beijing flagship), the pet-friendly debut of Ba Wang Cha Ji, and the popular bar Commune.
Zhongguancun ART PARK Darongcheng is currently the largest urban renewal commercial project within Beijing’s Fourth Ring Road. The renovation preserved iconic historical elements like the double-helix sculpture, ancient trees, and temples, blending urban and natural spaces under a "park + commerce" concept.
During the opening period, the eastern section will host Zhongguancun’s first theater festival, featuring performances from the renowned Wuzhen Theater Festival, along with frequent prize giveaways.
