Kingsoft Cloud Shares Surge Over 5% as OpenClaw Gains Traction, Institutions Highlight Cloud Computing Services as Most Promising Sector

Stock News03-09

Kingsoft Cloud (03896) rose more than 5%, with the stock up 5.28% to HK$6.78 at the time of writing, recording a turnover of HK$588 million. Recent developments show that OpenClaw continues to gain popularity and has become the fastest-growing open-source software project in GitHub's history. Notably, Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi miclaw mobile Agent, initiating a limited closed beta test. China Merchants Securities believes that cloud computing services represent the most certain growth direction, with the rationale behind cloud providers' price increases strengthening. Kaiyuan Securities also noted that application products such as Seedance2.0 and OpenClaw are expected to drive significant growth in computing power demand. Meanwhile, cloud providers both domestically and internationally have successively issued price increase notices, further reflecting robust downstream demand for computing power. Everbright Securities previously pointed out that strong global AI computing demand is reshaping the cloud services industry. As AWS breaks precedent by leading price hikes, vicious price competition in the industry is expected to end, leading to dual improvements in profit margins and valuation systems. As the core cloud platform within the Xiaomi ecosystem, Kingsoft Cloud's AI business is poised to maintain rapid growth and stands to benefit directly from the industry's improving prospects and its own accelerated development.
