South Korean Stock Market Triggers Circuit Breaker as Japanese Shares Surge 2%

During early trading on the 25th, after the KOSPI200 index futures rose by 5%, the Korea Exchange activated a circuit breaker mechanism for the KOSPI, leading to a 5-minute halt in program trading. The Nikkei 225 index saw its gains widen to 2%.

SK hynix Inc shares surged 11%, influenced by its U.S. listing plans and the financial performance of Micron Technology.

In pre-market trading on the Nextrade market, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd shares advanced 7.8%, while SK hynix Inc shares rose 6.7%.
