Traders Still Bet on Fed Holding Rates Steady Through 2026

Following the U.S. Labor Department's release of March consumer price index data, which showed a significant rise as expected, traders on Friday continued to bet that the Federal Reserve will keep interest rates unchanged through the end of 2026. According to pricing from CME Group's interest rate futures contracts, markets still estimate roughly a one-third probability of a Fed rate cut before the December meeting.
