According to a morning report on September 25, the Xiaomi 18 Pro series was recently officially launched, continuing to feature a rear screen design and introducing an interactive blind box pet gameplay. According to information shared at the launch event, Xiaomi this time turned six pet wallpapers into pet blind boxes. It also has a built-in NFC chip, so users can simply tap the blind box against the back of the phone to unlock hidden pet characters.
However, some netizens posted videos claiming that without opening the blind box, simply tapping it against the back of the phone allows the rear screen to recognize it directly, turning the blind box into a "transparent box."
In response to this matter, Xiaomi customer service stated that under normal circumstances, users should open the blind box, then tap the NFC area of the figurine against the phone, and the phone will be able to read the information and display it on the rear screen. Regarding the netizens' method, customer service said, "To ensure your rights and normal use, we recommend that you first open the blind box correctly according to the packaging instructions, and then tap the NFC area of the figurine against the phone to experience it."
