On October 17, the Zhejiang Xianfeng Cloud Warehouse e-commerce industrial park in Changshan Economic Development Zone was bustling with activity. Workers were swiftly picking and packing goods between shelves, while packages on the smart sorting line were accurately diverted after scanning, showcasing an efficient and orderly operation process. With Double Eleven approaching, this e-commerce industrial park, which commenced operations in July, is fully gearing up to meet the upcoming logistics peak.
"Currently, we maintain a daily order volume of 20,000 to 30,000 items, with peak times reaching up to 80,000 items," said Hong Jianjie, a warehouse manager at Zhejiang Xianfeng Supply Chain Management Co. The company specializes in e-commerce for daily chemicals, offering customers a one-stop supply chain service from warehousing to distribution. The cloud warehouse model helps clients save on self-built storage costs while significantly improving order processing efficiency. Currently, the company has established stable partnerships with over 20 e-commerce platforms and is increasing manpower and inventory to ensure timely dispatch during Double Eleven.
The rapid growth of this cloud warehouse reflects Changshan County's efforts to build a "hometown of express delivery" at the junction of four provinces. In recent years, Changshan County has fully leveraged its geographical advantages, positioning smart logistics as a significant driver for the development of an open economy. The county is accelerating the establishment of a three-tier smart logistics system that covers counties, towns, and villages, focusing on breaking through the last mile of urban-rural logistics services.
In the logistics distribution segment, the county-level e-commerce logistics distribution center located in the Zhongka Industrial Park is operating efficiently. Automated sorting machines precisely allocate packages to corresponding locations, which are then uniformly delivered by the Changshan County Postal Company to 13 processing centers in the county's towns, reaching 170 village-level "U Stations" through 14 bus routes, achieving same-day delivery for express packages. According to Wu Jing, deputy manager of Changshan County Postal Company's delivery division, "As of the end of September, we have delivered a total of 533,000 packages this year, saving farmers over 2.13 million yuan in pickup costs."
Since launching the three-tier logistics system construction in 2022, Changshan County has innovatively promoted models such as "Postal and Express Cooperation" and "Express Cooperation," effectively integrating resources from various express services including EMS, Shentong, Zhongtong, Yuantong, Yunda, and Jitu. This system ensures that express services reach every village while also facilitating the flow of agricultural products into the city. Statistics show that since 2023, through shared postal routes and special agricultural support policies, 863,000 packages of specialty agricultural products like sweet potatoes and pomelos have been sent out, allowing high-quality agricultural products from remote mountain villages to reach the national market quickly.
From the intelligent warehousing of e-commerce cloud warehouses to the efficient distribution at the shared center, from convenient delivery of consumer goods to the smooth influx of agricultural products, Changshan County is actively constructing a modern smart logistics system. On October 13, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ronghui Logistics Industrial Park project in Changshan County was officially held. Upon completion, this project will further enhance Changshan's service capabilities in large freight logistics, injecting new momentum into the creation of a "hometown of express delivery" at the boundary of four provinces.
