TEN PAO GROUP Shares Plunge Over 10% Following Profit Warning

Stock News07-13

Shares of TEN PAO GROUP (HKEX: 01979) tumbled more than 10% after the company issued a profit alert. At the time of writing, the stock was down 10.5% to HK$1.79, with a turnover of HK$4.82 million.

The decline follows a company announcement on July 10th, in which the group forecast a significant year-on-year decrease in profit attributable to owners of the company for the first half of 2026. The expected decline is approximately 40% to 50% compared to the profit of about HK$212 million recorded in the same period of 2025.

According to the announcement, the anticipated drop in profitability is primarily due to several factors. These include persistently tense geopolitical situations, a substantial increase in raw material costs driven by significant rises in oil and precious metal prices, which have put pressure on gross margins. Additionally, the appreciation of the Renminbi during the period has negatively impacted the group's export business.
