Guangdong Yowant Technology Swings to Profit in First-Half Results

Stock News08-24

Guangdong Yowant Technology Group Co.,Ltd. (002291.SZ) has released its semi-annual report for 2026, revealing a net profit attributable to shareholders of 153 million yuan, marking a turnaround from a loss in the same period last year.

During the reporting period, the company achieved operating revenue of 1.34 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 29.34%. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company stood at 153 million yuan, reversing a prior-year loss. However, the net loss attributable to shareholders excluding non-recurring gains and losses was 192 million yuan. Basic earnings per share came in at 0.1639 yuan.

In the first half of the year, the company's livestreaming business maintained its leading position in the industry. The firm actively adjusted its business structure and embraced the wave of AI development, leading to an overall year-on-year reduction in losses for net profit excluding non-recurring items.

The 29.34% decline in operating revenue for the first half of 2026 was primarily attributed to three factors. First, the new media advertising business saw a deliberate contraction in revenue scale to enhance service value, resulting in higher overall gross margins despite lower revenue. Second, the footwear business, following its divestiture, was no longer consolidated into the company's financial statements starting from the second quarter. Third, the company implemented proactive structural optimization in its social e-commerce business, concentrating resources on high-margin premium accounts and core IPs, which lifted the overall gross margin of this segment from 8.30% in the prior year to 9.54%.

The listed company's overall net operating cash flow reached 6.7427 million yuan, with core subsidiaries Hangzhou Yowant and Yowant Innovation collectively contributing 59.503 million yuan in net operating cash flow.
