Establishing Drone Training Base to Empower Smart Logistics

Deep News2025-10-22

In Wu'an City, Hebei Province, the Hebei Luhang Bonded Logistics Park has become a hub for drone inspections, with drones equipped with high-definition cameras conducting intelligent vehicle checks above the loading station. “Traditional manual inspections take at least half an hour, but drones can complete inspections in five minutes with significantly enhanced data accuracy,” said Ma Yilong, head of the park's logistics management department, pointing to an electronic screen displaying real-time data. With the assistance of professional drone operators, the park has seen a substantial increase in transportation efficiency.

In May of this year, Hebei Luhang Bonded Logistics Co., Ltd. collaborated with Hebei Lingang Drone Technology Co., Ltd. to establish Wu'an's first drone training base, the Hebei Luhang Drone Training Center. “We are not just training simple operators; we are cultivating versatile talents skilled in the entire logistics process,” said Senior Lecturer Nie Yaoran. The training courses encompass not only drone operation principles and technology but also knowledge in smart warehouse management.

On October 15, 37 trainees at the Hebei Luhang Drone Training Center were intently engaged in flight control training, as ten multi-rotor drones performed high-precision tasks like hovering on command. To date, the training center has produced 150 smart logistics talents, most of whom have joined the Hebei Luhang Bonded Logistics Park and surrounding logistics companies after graduation, utilizing drone technology to optimize urgent delivery processes and reduce inventory errors, thus becoming a cornerstone of smart logistics.

“For urgent parcels weighing between 5 to 10 kilograms, drone point-to-point transport is 30% to 50% faster than traditional delivery; for bulk cargo, coordinated operations of multiple drones establish an efficient aerial logistics network within a 10-kilometer range,” explained Bu Shuo, assistant general manager of the training center, highlighting how drone and truck collaboration creates a more efficient logistics model.
