Data released on January 30 by the Xinhua Oil Price System showed that the average price change rate for a basket of crudes was 4.41% on January 29.
According to the "Oil Price Management Measures," domestic prices for gasoline and diesel are adjusted every 10 working days based on changes in international crude oil prices, with the new prices taking effect at 24:00 on the day the adjustment is announced.
If the calculated price adjustment is less than 50 yuan per ton, no change will be made; the amount will instead be carried over to be added or offset against the next adjustment.
Under special circumstances defined by the measures, price adjustments can be suspended, delayed, or implemented with a reduced magnitude.
January 30 marks the eighth working day of the current pricing cycle, with the next price adjustment window scheduled to open at 24:00 on February 3.
