On September 16, two solar power projects in Yongping County—the Bonan Town Phase II photovoltaic project and the Longzhupeng photovoltaic project—received funding from a new type of policy-based financial instrument, with a combined investment of 41 million yuan. This marks the first time local non-governmental investment projects in the new energy sector have obtained such support.
The loans were disbursed on the same day, allocating 24 million yuan to the Bonan Town Phase II project and 17 million yuan to the Longzhupeng project. Both loans carry a two-year term with an annual interest rate of 2.19%.
These two solar projects, with a total planned investment of 422 million yuan, are designated as key green energy construction projects. Once completed and operational, they are expected to further unlock the county's solar resource potential, optimize the energy supply structure, expand the scale of the clean energy industry, and contribute to the region's green and low-carbon transition.
The newly disbursed funds are specifically intended to bridge gaps in project capital, effectively alleviating the challenges of capital fundraising. This initiative aims to channel more financial resources toward private investment in new energy projects, accelerate their construction and implementation, and facilitate the early realization of tangible output.
The Yongping County Development and Reform Bureau stated that it will seize the opportunity presented by this round of new policy-based financial instruments. The bureau plans to strengthen project reserves and application efforts, ensure the effective implementation of the first batch of projects, and actively prepare and declare a second batch. The goal is to secure more low-cost, long-term policy-based funding to support the county's new energy and other key sector projects, providing financial backing for expanding effective investment and promoting high-quality development of the energy industry.
