Keyword: Agoda advertises city view rooms that are actually windowless and refuses refunds. This month, consumers reported booking room types on Agoda advertised as "city view" rooms with images showing windows, only to verify with the hotel that the actual rooms were windowless, indicating platform misinformation. Agoda initially promised a full refund if the hotel agreed to waive liability, a condition which was met; however, 48 hours later, the platform reneged, refusing the refund and offering only a 20% voucher as compensation. Agoda received 39 complaints this month, with a 0% response rate.

Finally, Black Cat once again reminds all consumers: Black Cat Complaint assists consumers in resolving disputes free of charge; any party claiming to be the platform or a partner and charging fees to resolve complaints is engaging in impersonation and fraud. Consumers should remain vigilant and promptly report such accounts to the official platform and to the police. After filing a complaint on the Black Cat platform, the dispute resolution process involves direct communication between the complained-about company and the consumer. The Black Cat platform will not have customer service personnel proactively contact users to assist with refunds! Please use official channels to resolve consumer disputes and do not trust third-party organizations or individuals offering proxy refund services to avoid being scammed. If you encounter fraud, report it to the police immediately. Current official channels for consumers to file complaints are: The "Black Cat Complaint" official website (https://tousu.sina.com.cn/) The "Black Cat Complaint" client app (please download from official app stores) The "Black Cat Complaint" mini-program (available on WeChat, Baidu, Alipay, Douyin) If you discover impersonator accounts, you can send the account information to the official Black Cat email: heimaotousu@vip.sina.com To prevent personal information leaks and scams, please note the following: 1. Before submitting a complaint, carefully check whether your text and image evidence expose private information such as your name, contact details, address, order number, or tracking number. If submitted images contain private information, please obscure or redact them in advance. 2. Please use official channels to resolve consumer disputes. Do not trust dispute resolution methods, contact information, or accounts claiming to be staff provided via private messages or comments within the platform. Do not casually add strangers via QQ or WeChat, and be especially wary of claims like "pay a fee for priority handling" or "special channels can help process refunds." 3. Do not provide strangers with your bank card number, password, ID number, verification codes, or other sensitive information. Never transfer money via QR codes or unfamiliar links. Guard against deception and report any fraud to the police immediately. 4. Be highly cautious of incoming calls starting with 00 (international prefixes) and do not easily trust the displayed caller name. 5. After a legitimate company's customer service handles a complaint, refunds will be processed through the consumer's original payment channel. If the other party requests a refund via alternative methods such as QQ, Alipay, WeChat, or website links, be vigilant and avoid providing personal information or making transfers for so-called "unfreezing fees," "verification fees," or "security deposits." To concentrate resources and efforts on better serving everyone, Black Cat Complaint currently only accepts complaints related to disputes encountered during actual consumer transactions. Your understanding and support are appreciated.
