Trump Sues IRS and Treasury for $100 Billion Over Alleged Tax Information Leak

Deep News01-30

Court records made public on Thursday reveal that former President Donald Trump, along with his two sons and the family business, has filed a lawsuit against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Treasury Department over the alleged leaking of confidential tax information.

The lawsuit indicates that the plaintiffs are seeking at least $100 billion in damages.

A spokesperson for Trump's legal team stated in a declaration, "The IRS wrongly permitted a politically motivated, rogue employee to leak private, confidential information about President Trump, his family, and the Trump Organization to The New York Times, ProPublica, and other left-leaning news outlets, which was then unlawfully disseminated to millions of people."

The spokesperson added, "President Trump will continue to hold accountable those who harm the interests of America and the American people."
