As the demands of China's elderly population continuously evolve from "basic care" to "quality living," the nation's senior care industry is entering a period of rapid development to meet these diversified needs. Surveys indicate that "aging in place" remains the preferred choice for most people preparing for retirement; meanwhile, emerging models such as travel-based residency care, mutual aid eldercare, and smart elderly care are gradually gaining traction. The service demands of seniors are no longer confined to basic living guarantees but are progressing towards specialization, convenience, and emotional fulfillment.

On January 17th, the "'Peaceful Blessed Land, Everything is Ideal in Yidu' Ping An Residency Project Launch & Qingjiang Bay Cultural Tourism Carnival" was successfully held in Yidu City. The event was hosted by the People's Government of Yidu City and organized by Ping An Healthcare and Technology Company Limited (Ping An Good Doctor, stock code: 01833.HK) in conjunction with the Yidu City Culture and Tourism Bureau and Yidu City Guotong Investment and Development Co., Ltd.

Integrating insurance, cultural tourism, and wellness, Ping An Good Doctor has once again created a Ping An model for travel-based elderly care in Yidu. The Yidu residency project is a joint venture between Ping An Group and Yidu State-owned Investment Group, deeply integrating resources from three key sectors: insurance, cultural tourism, and health & wellness. It innovatively conducts brand empowerment and local cultivation, combining professional elderly care services with local cultural attractions to create distinctive short-term residency services for Yidu themed around "Gorge River" culture, allowing seniors to experience a "mobile home" with ease, safety, and health.

In terms of scene design, the Yidu Ping An Residency Project fully leverages Yidu's high-quality natural landscape and cultural resources, covering diverse cultural attractions and wellness scenarios such as "Three Gorges: Eternal Love," the Qingjiang Bay Tourism Resort, and the Three Gorges Dam. Regarding service design, the project adheres to the principles of "age-friendly, one-stop service, and monitorable," comprehensively optimizing itinerary arrangements, service配套设施, and medical support. On one hand, the entire travel process is designed to be age-friendly, allowing seniors to fully experience the local culture and beautiful scenery at a more relaxed pace; on the other hand, it organically combines medical care with residency services, enabling online doctors to provide continuous health guidance and medical assistance to users.

Since commencing operations in October 2025, the Yidu Ping An Residency Project has achieved remarkable results, having hosted over 600 Ping An groups and served more than 20,000 Ping An residency tourists. Future plans include continuously developing year-round residency scenarios such as "viewing mountain blossoms in spring, enjoying the cool in summer, harvesting fruits in autumn, and bathing in hot springs in winter," effectively transforming the resources from the insurance, cultural tourism, and health & wellness sectors into tangible, high-quality elderly care experiences.

Upgrading "professional and warm" elderly care services, Ping An Good Doctor is building a full-scenario protection system. As a flagship member of Ping An Group's medical and elderly care ecosystem, Ping An Good Doctor has consistently implemented the Group's "integrated finance + medical and elderly care" strategy in recent years, deepening the development of the "insurance + aging in place" model. By leveraging smart devices, butler services, and medical resources, and collaborating with local aging-in-place resources, it creates age-friendly travel residency products. Simultaneously, it provides seniors with comprehensive, full-cycle elderly care solutions centered around elderly care butlers, driving a comprehensive upgrade in health and wellness services.

In the field of aging in place, Ping An Good Doctor focuses on three key areas: medical health, safety assurance, and professional care. Since September 2022, its daily check-in to earn points activity, promoted via smart speakers for home use, has provided a thoughtful channel for solitary and empty-nest seniors to "report their safety." It is reported that this guardian plan is set to launch a Version 2.0 soon. After the upgrade, seniors can flexibly set their own check-in cycle for daily "safety reporting." If a check-in is not completed within the set period, a Ping An butler will contact their emergency contacts via phone, WeChat, and other methods. In case of emergencies, the butler will also promptly coordinate resources to arrange offline emergency rescue services, establishing a flexible guardian mechanism of "active care - perception - response - rescue" that achieves a full-process closed loop from "identifying problems" to "solving them."

Currently, the aging-in-place service network centered on "Ping An Butlers" has expanded to cover 100 cities across China, with 25 cities added in 2025 alone, representing a growth rate exceeding 33%. Furthermore, nearly 240,000 customers have qualified for the aging-in-place services, with a 100% response rate for "smart guardian" alerts.

From expanding the "poetic dwelling" of travel-based wellness residencies to deepening the "safety guardianship" of aging in place, Ping An Good Doctor will remain true to its original aspiration, closely collaborating with all parties in the elderly care industry. It aims to further enrich the service offerings for aging-in-place scenarios, continuously explore new models of high-quality, warm health and wellness services, and contribute to propelling China's elderly care sector into a new stage of high-quality development.
