Shares of Flowserve (FLS) surged 5.83% in after-hours trading on Wednesday, following the release of the company's second-quarter financial results.
The pump and valve manufacturer reported adjusted earnings per share of $0.95, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $0.86 by 10.47%. Quarterly sales came in at $1.169 billion, exceeding the $1.159 billion estimate. Total bookings climbed 25.5% to $1.35 billion, including record aftermarket bookings of $696 million, and the backlog increased 16.9% to $3.34 billion.
CEO Scott Rowe cited resilient demand led by power, nuclear, and energy security investments. The company also narrowed its full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $4.05–$4.20, lifting the low end from the previous $4.00–$4.20 range.
