Recently, at a banquet center in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, a wedding was taking place on the second-floor restaurant. Around 8 p.m., as guests gradually departed, the hosts discovered that an unopened bottle of Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. liquor and two packs of Zhonghua cigarettes from one table had gone missing. After inquiring with relatives and friends present, no one claimed to have taken the items, prompting the hosts to immediately report the incident to the police. The Hongdian Police Station swiftly launched an investigation. Surveillance footage revealed an unfamiliar man calmly seated at table 19 near the exit, claiming to be a "relative of the groom's father." During the event, he casually dined and drank, actively participated in interactive games on stage, and received a cash red envelope of 230 yuan. As the event concluded, he packed the remaining Wuliangye liquor, cigarettes, and other items into a bag and left. Police quickly identified the man and tracked him down, leading to his arrest. Upon apprehension, the man admitted, "I was just wandering around, saw the banquet, and thought I'd have some food and drinks, taking advantage of the situation." Under the direction of the wedding hosts, police recovered some of the stolen goods. Although the incident did not result in more severe consequences, the man's actions constituted theft. Considering his voluntary confession and sincere attitude in admitting fault, the public security authorities handled the case according to the law.
