Fuel Prices Set for Adjustment

Deep News14:20

With just two days remaining until the price adjustment window closes at 24:00 on August 14th, the fuel market is bracing for change. The current pricing cycle for refined oil products began on August 3rd, spanning a total of 10 working days.

As of August 11th, seven of those working days have passed, leaving three more to be counted. At the start of this cycle, expectations for a price reduction were building, with the anticipated decrease steadily growing. However, a recent sharp rebound in international oil prices has caused those expectations to moderate.

Currently, the estimated reduction for gasoline and diesel stands at 345 yuan per tonne and 335 yuan per tonne, respectively. This translates to a decrease of 0.28 yuan per liter for 92-octane gasoline and 0.29 yuan per liter for 95-octane gasoline and 0-diesel. If international oil prices remain at their elevated levels, the final price cut is expected to be even narrower than initially projected.
