Recently, the 2026 provincial forest and grassland fire prevention drill for the forestry and grassland system was held in Diebu.
The practical drill closely adhered to the principles of "prevention first, active suppression, safety paramount, and training for combat." It was designed to address the actual conditions within the province's key forest areas, which are characterized by high mountains, deep valleys, complex terrain, and a lack of public network coverage in some regions, making firefighting particularly challenging. The exercise employed a real-scenario, hands-on approach with a joint defense and training model. It followed the guidelines of graded response, coordinated action, rapid deployment, and scientific safety, simulating the entire process of fire incident management to conduct practical training. The drill encompassed six main components: early warning and prediction, rapid information flow, practical application of intelligent equipment, response to sudden dangers, coordinated handling, and communication support in extreme environments.
Participating teams included the Forest and Grassland Fire Brigade of the Diebu Ecological Construction and Management Center, the Forest and Grassland Fire Brigade of the Xiaolongshan Forestry Protection Center, the Forest and Grassland Fire Brigade of the Qilian Mountain National Nature Reserve Management Center, and the Forest and Grassland Fire Brigade of the Ziwuling Forestry Administration.
This drill has further solidified the foundational work of forest and grassland fire prevention under the "early detection, early reporting, early handling" framework. It has enhanced the province's overall level of scientific, professional, intelligent, and practical preparedness for preventing forest and grassland fires.
