Stock Track | Hut 8 Mining Corp Plummets 7.44% Intraday After Q2 Earnings Miss Estimates and Loss Widens

Stock Track08-04

Hut 8 Mining Corp shares fell sharply by 7.44% in intraday trading on Tuesday, following the release of second-quarter 2026 financial results that significantly missed analyst expectations.

The digital asset mining company reported a net loss of $177.142 million, with a GAAP diluted loss per share of $1.27, far below the FactSet consensus estimate of a $0.55 loss per share. Revenue came in at $74.932 million, missing the IBES estimate of $80.7 million. Operating loss widened to $206.33 million, swinging from a profit in the prior-year period.

The substantial earnings miss and deepening losses triggered a sell-off, as investors reacted to the weaker-than-expected performance. The decline extended pre-market losses, where the stock had already dropped over 3.6% on the initial earnings headlines.
