A new commercial space in Lujiazui has officially opened, transforming from a tranquil pocket park by day into a vibrant nightlife destination. The revitalized LU1885 Luli debuted during the May Day holiday with a themed "Luli Tipsy Festival," breaking away from the conventional enclosed mall concept. By integrating nature, social interaction, and commerce, the area has been redesigned as a versatile daily space where visitors can relax and shift between different moods. This development brings a fresh dynamic to Lujiazui, a district known for its upscale shopping centers but previously lacking casual social environments where white-collar workers can unwind.
According to project representatives, the surrounding Lujiazui area is home to 82 office buildings and 160,000 high-net-worth residents. The renovation of LU1885 Luli adopts an innovative pocket park business model, featuring four distinct themed zones. Scenes such as Shan Ye PARK and Wei Xun Hub are strategically arranged alongside large spherical screens and expansive outdoor seating, creating an open, immersive, and all-day consumption environment. This design enables seamless transitions from daytime leisure to evening socializing, effectively extending operating hours while boosting brand revenue and energizing the local night economy.
To address the high concentration of professionals and limited evening leisure options in Lujiazui Financial District, LU1885 Luli has curated a lineup of debut stores centered around a "tipsy" theme. Among them, the national debut of stillroom specializes in Amaro herbal cocktails, offering a bitter-flavored retreat for quiet moments. SOSA transitions from daytime set meals to an evening tavern, showcasing Pan-Asian flavors and tropical cocktails. Amour Mets, led by Michelin-starred chef Alan Yu, combines baking, coffee, light French fare, and bistro dining. Mai Mai Shan Ye recreates a rustic urban lodge, featuring Yunnan snacks, grilled dishes, and a cozy bar.
Additionally, LU1885 Luli has introduced several first-in-Pudong outlets. Yang Mei Market Worker’s Bistro offers affordable Taiwanese fusion dishes as a self-care space for office workers, while ZEROCK brings Spanish tapas, wine, and flamenco dancing to convey Iberian social vibrancy. Multiple debut stores are positioned along Century Avenue, with outdoor seating blending into public areas to form an immersive "scene-borrowing" experience.
Notably, LU1885 Luli is situated within the Shenjia Villa historical site, a core landmark preserving a century of Pudong’s heritage. The project revitalizes the culturally protected Shenjia Villa by introducing Dong Hai Yin Lu • Seafood Artistry. While maintaining the original structure, layout, and charm of the historic building, the high-end seafood restaurant avoids drastic alterations, instead adopting a "restore as old, repurpose functionally" approach to embed gourmet dining within a historical setting. The upgrade also expanded outdoor seating, providing customers with more cultural and experiential space.
During the May Day holiday, LU1885 Luli launched its "Tipsy Festival" within an open block format, gathering 25 leading and popular bar brands from across Asia. Moving forward, LU1885 Luli aims to solidify its position as a "cultural-commercial-tourism integrated tipsy landmark in Pudong," establishing regular community activities and content operations to become a signature destination for the district’s night economy.
