DJI has officially entered into a partnership with Meituan's instant delivery service, Meituan Flash Purchase, integrating 400 of its offline stores across the country into the platform.
Consumers nationwide can now enjoy the convenience of ordering sports cameras, drones, robot vacuum mops, and professional photography equipment through the service, with local stores fulfilling orders and delivery times as fast as 30 minutes.
DJI views instant retail as a significant avenue for incremental growth. The decision to collaborate with Meituan Flash Purchase following the launch of its major new product, the DJI Osmo Pocket 4, is aimed at leveraging the efficiency, convenience, and popularity of instant retail among younger consumers to enhance positive engagement with its customer base.
Meituan Flash Purchase stated that the inclusion of leading tech brands like DJI on its platform will provide consumers with higher-quality tech products and a superior shopping experience. The service plans to deepen cooperation with DJI in areas such as new product launches and joint marketing initiatives.
Furthermore, Meituan Flash Purchase will grant DJI access to more of its instant retail infrastructure, including lightning warehouses, to help the brand better tap into the benefits of instant retail, achieve faster inventory turnover, strengthen brand recognition, and secure more stable customer repurchase rates.
Data from Meituan Flash Purchase indicates that during the initial period of this year's 618 shopping festival on the platform, sales at local digital electronics stores saw significant growth. Sales of sports cameras surged by 447% year-over-year, while smart wearable accessories experienced a 377% increase, with the new DJI Osmo Pocket 4 becoming one of the top-selling products during the event.
