Linyi Luokai Bisheng Launches 12,000-Ton Recycled Aluminum Project with Furnace Ignition

Deep News08:41

Recently, Shandong Luokai Bisheng Renewable Resources Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Linyi Luokai Holding Group, a state-owned enterprise in Luozhuang District, Linyi City, Shandong Province, celebrated a significant milestone: the furnace ignition ceremony for its annual 120,000-ton recycled aluminum ingot and billet project was held, marking the official start of equipment commissioning and trial production.

As a key state-owned enterprise in Luozhuang District, Luokai Holding Group has deeply integrated its development into the national "dual carbon" strategy and the district's broader goal of strengthening industry and revitalizing the economy. The 120,000-ton recycled aluminum project represents a strategic move by the group to lead industrial green transformation through state capital.

The recycled aluminum industry is both a traditional strength and a crucial lever for achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals in Luozhuang District. The project employs intelligent smelting control systems and green energy-saving technologies, reducing energy consumption by 10% compared to conventional production lines and maintaining pollutant emissions well below national standards.

Compared to primary aluminum production, each ton of recycled aluminum saves 3.4 tons of standard coal, 14 tons of water, and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 11 tons and solid waste by 6 tons, delivering both environmental and economic benefits. A supporting 872-kilowatt photovoltaic power station, with an annual output of approximately 1.1 million kilowatt-hours, will meet 15% of the project’s electricity demand, further lowering its carbon footprint.

As a core project in Luokai Holding Group’s recycled aluminum industry chain, the Luokai Bisheng facility is equipped with over 20 sets of internationally advanced equipment, including a 45-ton regenerative dispersed aluminum melting furnace, a 30-ton alloy furnace, a 15-ton holding furnace, and automated casting lines. Leveraging the group’s comprehensive scrap aluminum recycling network and industry-leading smelting and grade-preservation technologies, the project aims to build a full industrial chain from recycled aluminum to deep processing and automotive components.

The aluminum liquid produced will be directly supplied to the Luokai Zhongcheng new energy vehicle parts project, eliminating the need for remelting. Waste materials such as aluminum chips and scraps will be 100% recycled, achieving a closed-loop production chain.

Upon reaching full capacity, the project will process 120,000 tons of scrap aluminum annually, reinforcing Luozhuang District’s status as a key national production base for recycled aluminum. As an industry chain leader, it is expected to attract upstream and downstream enterprises specializing in aluminum components, molds, and profiles, helping to build a 30-billion-yuan intelligent manufacturing cluster for recycled aluminum in the district and injecting strong green momentum into regional high-quality development.

"State-owned enterprises must not only create economic value but also shoulder social responsibilities," stated a representative of Luokai Holding Group at the ceremony. Guided by the core philosophy of "grade preservation and turning waste into treasure," the project achieves efficient recycling of scrap aluminum through technological innovation, addressing urban solid waste challenges while creating numerous local jobs. Additionally, recycled aluminum’s lower cost compared to primary aluminum helps downstream enterprises reduce production expenses and enhance market competitiveness.

Looking ahead, the project will focus on four strategic directions: establishing a model recycled aluminum industrial base in East China, building a scrap aluminum recycling and distribution hub for Southern Shandong and Northern Jiangsu, co-establishing a green low-carbon technology research institute for recycled metals, and expanding integrated supply capabilities for lightweight components in new energy vehicles. The goal is to achieve full production efficiency as soon as possible, contributing to Luozhuang’s revitalization and its return to a trillion-yuan economy, while embracing new challenges with outstanding performance.
