MicroCloud Hologram Inc. (HOLO.US) Forecasts Full-Year Net Profit Over RMB 350 Million, Plans $400 Million Investment in Quantum Computing and Frontier Technologies

Stock News10-27

MicroCloud Hologram Inc. (HOLO.US) announced on Monday that it expects full-year 2025 net profit to exceed RMB 350 million, a significant turnaround from a net loss in the prior year. Financial reports show the company recorded a net loss of approximately RMB 63 million in 2024. As of now, MicroCloud Hologram holds over RMB 3 billion in cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments. The company plans to allocate more than $400 million from its cash reserves to actively invest in quantum computing, blockchain, and quantum holographic technologies.

Following this positive update, MicroCloud Hologram's shares surged over 17% in pre-market trading. The quantum computing sector in the U.S. stock market has recently shown strong performance, driven by multiple positive developments. Reports that the U.S. government is considering acquiring equity in quantum computing companies using federal funds have spurred a collective rally in quantum-related stocks, including IonQ, Rigetti, D-Wave, and QCI, with quantum-themed ETFs also rising on reinforced expectations of a "national-level race."

With IonQ announcing a breakthrough in achieving 99.99% gate fidelity and IBM demonstrating real-time execution of critical quantum error-correction algorithms on conventional AMD FPGAs, industry experts widely believe the critical milestones of "quantum advantage" and "quantum supremacy" are just three to five years away. The approaching technological tipping point is rapidly transforming quantum computing from an academic topic into an urgent national security issue.

Nicolò D'Adamo, CEO of IonQ, a global leader in quantum computing, recently stated that major breakthroughs and transformations in the field are imminent, heralding the arrival of the so-called "quantum supremacy era." As quantum hardware qubit counts and gate fidelity continue to improve, the concept of "quantum supremacy" marks a critical threshold—where a quantum processor completes a well-defined task at speeds unattainable by classical supercomputers within a reasonable timeframe.

Quantum computing systems leverage principles of quantum mechanics, such as superposition and entanglement, offering a new computational paradigm that theoretically surpasses traditional binary computers in specific domains. According to a December 9 statement from Google, the Willow quantum chip demonstrated remarkable performance in benchmark tests, completing a "standard benchmark calculation" in under five minutes—a task that would take a classical supercomputer 10 to 25 years.
