PayPal has released its "GlobalBeat 2026" report (hereafter referred to as "the report").
According to the report data, during the statistical period (July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026), PayPal processed more than 3.4 billion cross-border transactions globally, with over 167 million buyers completing cross-border purchases through PayPal.
Among them, more than 33 million international PayPal users purchased goods and services from Chinese merchants, with buyers coming from over 100 countries.
The report also noted that the goods and services purchased by overseas buyers from Chinese merchants covered multiple sectors. Among these, fashion, computers, and general merchandise ranked in the top three, while beauty, retail, electronics, furniture, toys and hobby supplies, automotive-related products, and business services also entered the top ten. The average daily transaction volume of these ten major categories was approximately 256,000.
The United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada were the five markets with the highest buyer spending.
At the same time, the report mentioned that more than half of international buyers made purchases from Chinese merchants on more than one occasion, demonstrating that Chinese merchants continue to attract overseas consumers to place orders. In cross-border transactions with Chinese merchants, 75% of international buyers completed payment directly through the PayPal payment button, making it the mainstream payment method trusted by overseas buyers.
