Hanking Gold International Limited, formerly known as China Hanking Holdings Limited, has appointed Dr. Tim Sun as an Independent Non-Executive Director, with the appointment taking effect on 25 March 2026 and running through 16 March 2027, aligning with the current Board’s tenure.
Dr. Sun, aged 64, brings more than 30 years of global mining and exploration experience across Canada, Mongolia, Australia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Central Asia and China. His prior roles include Vice President–China at Turquoise Hill Resources (2002-2005), directorships at Norton Gold Fields (2010-2011) and FeOre Ltd (2011-2014), and an Independent Non-Executive Directorship at Hengxing Gold Holding (2014-2021). He currently serves as a director of Arcland Resources, Minco Silver Corporation, and is the founder and chairman of WA Iron Pty Ltd.
Compensation for the role is set at HKD 0.28 million per annum, determined by the Board based on responsibilities and prevailing market rates. Dr. Sun meets all independence criteria under Listing Rule 3.13, holds no shares or related interests in the Company, and maintains no relationships with existing directors, senior management or substantial shareholders.
The Board highlighted that no other matters require disclosure under Listing Rule 13.51(2)(h)-(v) and formally welcomed Dr. Sun to the Board.
