On June 3rd, the spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, Zhu Fenglian, addressed concerns regarding Taiwan's power supply during a regular press conference.

A question was raised regarding recent comments by NVIDIA founder Jensen Huang, who stated Taiwan needs more electricity, which has fueled public concern on the island about insufficient power capacity.

Zhu Fenglian responded that the DPP authorities are solely focused on pursuing "Taiwan independence" and lack both the will and the capability to address the structural issues hindering the island's economic and social development.

The power shortage has become a clear vulnerability for Taiwan's economic and social progress, a fact that is evident to all.

Zhu Fenglian stated that the DPP authorities have highly politicized the energy issue. Instead of confronting and resolving it directly, they use it as a tool for partisan strife and to suppress political opponents.

This approach reveals their prioritization of their own party's interests over the welfare and future development of the Taiwanese people.
