Leadership transition is now complete at the prominent Chinese distiller.
The change in leadership at Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. (SHE: 000858) has been finalized. On the evening of June 8th, the company issued an announcement stating that Zeng Congqin has been relieved of his duties as a director. Consequently, his roles as Chairman of the Board and as Chairman and member of the board's specialized committees were automatically terminated upon the director's removal taking effect. The board has agreed to nominate Deng Min as a candidate for non-independent director of the company's seventh board.
The announcement details that Deng Min was born in 1970. His previous roles include serving as Party Secretary and Chairman of Yibin Sililya Group Co., Ltd., Chairman of Yibin Sililya Co., Ltd., Party Secretary and Chairman of Yibin Tianyuan Group Co., Ltd., and Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and General Manager of Yibin Development Holding Group Co., Ltd. He currently holds the positions of Party Secretary and Director of Sichuan Yibin Wuliangye Group Co., Ltd., and Party Secretary of Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. He is nominated to become Chairman of Sichuan Yibin Wuliangye Group Co., Ltd. and a Director of Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd.
For the first quarter of 2026, Wuliangye reported revenue of 22.84 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 33.7%. Its net profit attributable to shareholders reached 8.06 billion yuan, a significant rise of 82.6% compared to the same period last year.
