Premium Moutai and Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ Edge Higher, While Gujing Gong Gu20 and Qinghua Lang See Sharp Declines

Deep News09-18

Data gathered by a market price monitoring service over the past 24 hours shows that on September 18, among the 12 major baijiu products tracked, terminal retail average prices rose for five, fell for five, and held steady for two. While the number of gainers and losers was evenly matched, the cumulative decline on the losing side was more pronounced.

On the upside, Premium Moutai climbed 2 yuan to 2,465 yuan, inching back toward this month's peak. Wuliangye Puwu Eighth Generation rose 1 yuan to 802 yuan, pausing near the 800-yuan threshold. Guojiao 1573 added 1 yuan to 877 yuan, posting a second consecutive gain as it continues its gradual recovery from lower levels. Yanghe Dream Blue M6+ advanced 2 yuan to 608 yuan, showing short-term high-frequency volatility. Xijiu Junpin edged up 1 yuan to 636 yuan, rising for a second straight day with its price center slowly trending upward.

On the downside, Feitian Moutai slipped 2 yuan to 1,796 yuan, still hovering near its 30-day high. Qinghua Fen 20 dropped 4 yuan to 393 yuan, extending a three-day losing streak. Gujing Gong Gu20 fell 6 yuan to 524 yuan, marking a second consecutive decline and returning to its recent 30-day low range. Qinghua Lang lost 5 yuan to 678 yuan, weakening for three straight sessions and breaking below the 680-yuan level. Shuijing Jiannanchun declined 1 yuan to 407 yuan, pulling back after a brief uptick the prior day.

Among those holding steady, Wuliangye 1618 maintained its average terminal retail price at 829 yuan, with a narrowing price range reflecting stability. Maotai 1935 held at 684 yuan, staying within its recent 30-day high range for a second consecutive day.

The combined terminal retail value of all 12 products fell again today. If one bottle of each product were packaged and sold together, the total would be 10,699 yuan, down 11 yuan from yesterday and slipping below the 10,700-yuan mark. Gainers contributed a cumulative increase of 7 yuan, while losers accounted for a cumulative decline of 18 yuan, underscoring a clear divergence in price trends.

Daily data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points distributed across major regions nationwide, including designated dealers, social distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. Raw sampling data reflects actual terminal retail transaction prices over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable pricing information for major baijiu products.

Since New Year's Day, the official i-Moutai platform began selling 500ml Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle (raised to 1,539 yuan on March 31, and further to 1,639 yuan on July 18), and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle from January 9 (raised to 2,359 yuan on May 16). This new sales channel has exerted a growing magnetic pull on the average terminal retail prices of both products.

Daily price data follows a volume-weighted calculation rule, with verifiable prices from this channel incorporated into the terminal retail price calculations for these two products.

On the industry news front, multiple media outlets reported on September 17 that Moutai's self-operated stores have implemented new purchase restrictions for 500ml Feitian Moutai: individuals are limited to one box per day and five boxes per year, while corporate buyers are capped at five boxes daily and 50 boxes annually. Current self-operated store prices are set at 1,766 yuan per bottle for 500ml Feitian Moutai, 1,756 yuan for Five-Star Moutai, 3,291 yuan for 1L Feitian, 1,951 yuan for the Year of the Horse edition, 2,410 yuan for Premium Moutai, and 4,279 yuan for 15-year aged Moutai.

Industry analyst Xiao Zhuqing noted that this move fundamentally reflects Moutai's "online + offline" channel integration strategy, where online platforms like i-Moutai focus on efficiency and reach, while offline self-operated stores emphasize conversion and service. Combined with the peak Mid-Autumn Festival season, the simultaneous implementation of quantity limits, purchase restrictions, and spot supply arrangements indicates Moutai's management of channel and sales pacing toward C-end consumers, rather than a simple promotional tactic.
